Help and answers

Most questions about an 8K IPTV subscription come down to a handful of practical things: how quickly it starts working, where to find your login again, how many devices you can use, and what to do when a stream stutters. This page covers those in plain terms.

If you read something here that does not match what you are seeing, get in touch before changing settings at random. A short description of the device and app you are using usually gets you a precise answer faster.

How to use this page

The questions below are grouped roughly in the order people ask them: getting started, watching day to day, and the account side of things. If you are setting up for the first time, start at the top. If something was working and has stopped, jump to the buffering and connection answers first, since that is where most interruptions come from.

  • Getting started: activation, login details, adding devices
  • Everyday viewing: buffering, speeds, EPG and catch-up
  • Your account: renewals, payment, refunds, the Control Panel

Before you contact us

A little detail saves a lot of back and forth. Note the device (Fire TV Stick, Android TV box, a Samsung or LG television, iPhone, or a computer), the app you are using, and whether the issue affects one channel or all of them. If a single channel is down, that is usually a source problem at that channel; if everything stutters, it is more likely your connection or the app settings.

  • Which device and app
  • One channel or all channels
  • Wired or wireless connection
  • Roughly when it started

A note on how the service is delivered

An IPTV subscription streams over your home internet rather than through an aerial or satellite dish, so the quality you see depends partly on your connection at the moment you are watching. 8K and 4K carry a lot more data than standard streams, which is why a steady, reasonably fast connection matters more here than it does for ordinary television. The answers below explain what that means in practice.

Common questions

How long does activation take after I pay?
In most cases your subscription is ready in about two minutes. Once payment clears, your login details are generated and sent to the email address you used at checkout. If nothing has arrived after ten minutes, check the spam or promotions folder, then contact us with the email you paid with so we can look it up.
I have lost my login details. How do I get them back?
Your Xtream Codes username and password, or your M3U URL, were sent to the email address used when you ordered. Search that inbox for the confirmation message first. If you cannot find it, contact us from the same email address and we will resend the details. For security we only send credentials to the address the subscription is registered to.
What is the difference between the Xtream Codes login and the M3U URL?
They are two ways of connecting the same subscription. The Xtream Codes login is a server address, a username, and a password, used by apps that ask for those three fields. The M3U URL is a single web link that carries the same information in one line. Use whichever your app asks for; both point to the same channels and library.
Can I watch on more than one device at the same time?
Each subscription includes a set number of device slots, so you can be signed in on, for example, a television and a phone at once, up to that limit. If you try to stream on more devices than your plan allows at the same moment, one of them will be interrupted. If your household needs more simultaneous streams, add slots when you order or ask us about it afterwards.
Which devices and apps does it work with?
It works on Fire TV Stick, Android TV boxes and phones, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS televisions, iPhone and Apple TV, Windows computers, and MAG portal boxes. You install a compatible player, enter your Xtream Codes login or M3U URL, and the channel list and library load in. If you tell us your device we can point you to a player that suits it.
Why does a stream buffer or freeze?
Buffering nearly always comes down to the connection between your device and the internet rather than the subscription itself. The common causes are wifi that is weak where the television sits, other devices in the house using a lot of bandwidth at the same time, an overloaded streaming box, or setting the stream to a higher resolution than your connection can carry. A wired connection, or moving the device closer to the router, resolves most cases.
What connection speed do I need for 4K and 8K?
As a rough guide, standard channels are comfortable on a modest connection, 4K wants a solid, stable broadband line, and 8K needs noticeably more headroom again because it carries far more data per second. Consistency matters as much as the headline speed: a steady connection at a lower number often streams better than a fast one that dips. If your line struggles with 8K, dropping a channel to 4K or 1080p removes the strain while keeping a clean picture.
Does the picture quality depend on the channel?
Yes. We deliver in 8K, 4K, 1080p and standard depending on what the original channel provides, and many channels are broadcast at their native resolution rather than upscaled. Modern streams use HEVC (H.265) encoding, which keeps a high-bitrate picture within a manageable amount of data. If one channel looks softer than another, that usually reflects the source feed, not your setup.
Is there a TV guide, and can I watch things after they have aired?
There is a 7-day EPG, so you get a rolling programme guide covering the week ahead across the channels that supply one. Many channels also offer catch-up, letting you go back and watch something that has already been broadcast, and there is a separate VOD library of films and box sets to watch on demand. Availability of catch-up varies by channel.
What is in the catalogue besides live channels?
Alongside thousands of live channels you get a video-on-demand library of films, box sets, kids' programming, factual and news content, and international channels across several regions. Sport sits within that mix as one category among many rather than the whole point. When ordering you can choose a region such as US/CA, Europe/UK, or Arabic/MENA to match the channels you actually want.
When does my subscription expire, and how do I renew?
Each term is a single payment for a fixed length, from one month up to 10 years, and nothing renews automatically, so you are never charged unexpectedly. When a term nears its end you simply place another order to extend it. Renewing on the same account keeps your existing login details rather than issuing new ones, so there is nothing to reconfigure on your devices.
What does it cost?
Terms are a one-off payment: 1 month is $10, 3 months $25, 6 months $35, 12 months $50, 24 months $95, 36 months $130, 48 months $160, and 10 Years $370. The 6-month and 24-month terms are our better-value options. Each is paid once for the full period with no recurring charge.
How can I pay?
Checkout accepts common online payment methods and is processed through our payment gateway, with each term charged once at the point of order. You will receive a confirmation email with your login details shortly after the payment clears. If a payment does not go through, no subscription is created and nothing is charged.
Is there a refund window if it does not work for me?
There is a short refund window after purchase, intended to cover the case where the service genuinely will not work on your setup. Before requesting one, contact us so we can try to fix the problem, since most issues are a device or connection setting rather than the subscription. If we cannot get it working within that window, we will sort out a refund.
Can I manage my subscription myself?
Yes. A Control Panel is available at https://iptv.chat/panel for managing a subscription and for resellers handling multiple accounts. It is useful for keeping track of what you hold and when it expires. It is not required for ordinary viewing; for everyday watching you only need your login in a player app.
I am a reseller. Is there anything different for me?
Resellers use the same Control Panel at https://iptv.chat/panel to create and manage subscriptions for their own clients from one place. If you are setting up as a reseller and want to understand how slots, terms and account management work at that level, contact us and we will walk you through it.
A channel or the whole service has stopped. What should I check first?
If only one channel is affected, it is almost always a temporary problem with that channel's source and usually clears on its own. If everything has stopped, check that your internet is working on another app, restart the streaming app, and if you are on wifi try moving closer to the router or using a wired connection. If it persists across devices and connections, contact us with your account email so we can check the subscription itself.
