Setting up 8K IPTV on Smart TV
If your television runs Samsung Tizen or LG webOS you can often avoid extra hardware entirely. Built-in apps are convenient, though some decode very high bitrates less smoothly than a separate streaming box.
Before you start
- A Samsung Tizen or LG webOS smart television
- Your Xtream Codes login or M3U URL
- An IPTV app from the television’s own store
Install a player from the TV store
Open the app store built into the television and install an IPTV player that accepts an M3U URL or an Xtream login.
Register the device if asked
Some smart-TV apps show a device key and ask you to add your playlist on a companion web page. If yours does, follow that short pairing step, entering the key it displays.
Enter your subscription details
Add your M3U URL, or your Xtream server, username and password, exactly as sent. Save it and let the app fetch the channel list.
Wait for the first load
The first download of channels, guide and on-demand titles takes a little longer on a television app. Once it finishes, the app opens straight to your channels next time.
That is it
Once a channel plays cleanly you are done. The same steps repeat on any other screen using the same login, up to the device slots on your plan.
